Working her way through the ranks for over 10 years in New York City, experiencing everything the City had to offer, Ms. Robinson decided to start her own boutique public relations and marketing firm in August of 2003. Owning her own business at the age of just seventeen, she solely developed the concept, store design, customer base, grass roots marketing and promotion campaigns enabling her to develop skills she would need later down the road. After two years of running her own business, the world of modeling beckoned in the Big Apple and she relocated to New York City to experience the fast life of fashion where she was featured in many major runway shows. Not satisfied with modeling, she took the quote, “If you can make it here you can make it anywhere”, seriously and returned to the world of business.
Taking management positions at several prominent New York City restaurants and nightclubs, Ms. Robinson began to meet key executives in the areas of entertainment, fashion and media.
Ms. Robinson continued to sharpen her skills in public relations, marketing, sales, promotions and branding at venues such as Arizona 206, Stringfellow’s Pure Platinum, Le Cigar, Sign of the Dove, Scores NY and Bar Code to name a few. It was at Bar Code, an Australian company building their first flagship venue in the United States, where Ms. Robinson really shined as the Director of Corporate Development for three years. This experience proved most beneficial as she was in charge of planning and executing event at this 20,000 square foot arcade, lounge and restaurant. She booked corporate and special events for the likes of Smith Barney, Deloitte and Touche as well as Nickelodeon and Viacom Networks that includes MTV and VH1, Nicole Miller and celebrities like Usher, Bow Wow, etc. Responsible for driving sales, $1.8 year one, $2.2 year two and $2.8 year three.
Ms. Robinson created relationships with many Fortune 500 companies as well as leaders in the entertainment field. Deciding to capitalize on these relationships, she knew that starting her own firm would enable her the freedom to build brands, create exposure and place her clients atop their industries.
Tsunami Group Inc has developed and publicized some of the biggest celebrities and brands out right now which include superstar rapper Lil Wayne and his label Young Money Entertainment, Grimoldi Watches USA and Michigan Instruments, the number one leader in CPR devices.
Wanting to be able to work one on one with her clients Ms. Robinson limits the number of clients per year signed to the firm to assure personalized service, which enables the company to pay special attention to every detail in executing a project and making it a huge success.
